| Hello everyone,
I have officially renamed the project from esl to PES linux which means "Portable Embedded Slackware Linux".
It is now officially announced with version 1 PES 1.0 Linux and is being tested on production servers.

The first version includes all basic routing daemons:
Changelog of PES 1.0 Linux:
1.iptables 1.4.0 with Layer7 support.
2.iproute2 patched to support multipath routes.
3.quagga routing suite v.0.99.9
4.php has been upgraded to v.5.2.5 with support for mysql connections.
5.Has been added autoconfig script for gathering config files from "THE DB Server"
6./swapper/service remains the basic apps and services installation path directory.
7.Net-SNMP has been upgraded to and there are no more crashes.
8.Linux kernel 2.6.24.2 available with MMX,PIII,PIV[no smp], PIV[smp], XEON/C2D and AMD64[smp,no smp versions]
There is also PESLAB* available for custom installation and configuration.
I will later post links to the final version with mmx kernel support.
Anyone is invited to make pkgs and commit bugfixes to the official version.
I will post sources of packages used for creating this distro.
* PESLAB is the short for "Portable Embedded Slackware Linux Appliance Box",
Which will be available for anyone if willin' to use PES Linux as a production platform.
It included 12" Rack with AMD64 X2 supporting both Raid Mirror or no Raid[THE DB PES Linux] and a pair of RAS servers preconfigured as autoconfigrable boxes.

| I am pleased to inform you that the newest and probably the most stable version of esl is upcoming tonight with the code name "riddick".
Changelog:
It has all the features of its previous version and of course it based on slackware :)
Improved wireless drivers to use ath5k instead of madwifi/ vlan tagging /.
Improved wireless drivers of ralink wireless devices / now rt2860 works brilliant /.
Improved performance of realtek gigabit ethernet drivers / now using exp. NAPI /.
Added automated configuration script [ /usr/bin/confme ].
Added php automated configuration interface for base stations [ it's non free version ].
Added support for ospf with sample configurations.
ppp version now applies to 2.4.4 with support for GigaWords.
added 2 kernels choice [ smp and non-smp ]
updated latest kernel to 2.6.23.12 [ applied layer7 patch and routing cache patch ]
And many many small improvements.

NOTE:
